On this page I have included images
of some of the dioramas that I have made to augment a commissioned portrait or painting. Unless you are wanting a miniature to put in a dolls house (the painting on it's own) can get lost amongst other objets d'art even when on an easel. A small diorama inside a glass dome is something that is easily exhibited on a mantelpiece or dresser. If you want a custom miniature, with or without the diorama please contact me for a chat. I would generally want a clear photo of the subject matter, people or pets, in a pose similar to what you want for the finished painting. If you would like the painting within a diorama, you may like to make suggestions of what you would like to see in the scene, here you can make it personal to you or the person it is for. Refer to the above images for the sort of scenes that I have completed.
The photos I would need to work from.. Generally good lighting with shadows and highlights that aren't too harsh or washed out, apart from that most photos that you can take with your phone will suffice. I can change backgrounds, as in the above picture of Beertrix, or keep it simply as it is, like the picture of 'Lucy
and Sarah' below, or you can go to a different scene altogether. Please contact me to discuss any requirements. Generally I will endeavor to complete your paintings as quickly as I can depending on my commissions list.
