VIRTUAL GALLERY

Virtual Gallery

For those of you that have visited our stand at the Kensington Dolls House fairs and seen the virtual reality that Martin makes through the head set, this is a much more extensive web based version situated in 19th century Mansion House, London. This virtual tour was inspired by the painting of Mansion House by Louis Hubbard Grimshaw and to accompany the tour I have created Grimshaw's painting in miniature which you can see in the modern masters section. If you would like to take a look and have a play to see what you can find hidden within this virtual dolls house world click the image below. Further great news to our work with augmented reality is that some of the work featured on this web-site including some of the miniatures will soon be available to view using an augment reality app on your phone. The app will allow you to view the painting and the animated sequence that goes with the painting, watch this space for updates.

The virtual tour features digital representations of my paintings made by Martin, who has also given them a twist.. Take a look at the tour below and the Arnolfini Portrait, which is next on my paintings to do list.

I was asked if I could put some sort of video together for Radio York Media.. Well I'm a painter, so, of course..NOT.. Martin obliged using photo's that were taken for the Daily Mail feature by photographer Richard Gardner (Thank you Richard). Martin came up with this.. and messed around with a soundtrack after he had created it (York will put their own sound in) and apparently the theme from 'Twin Peaks' by Angelo Badalamenti, fitted so well, before any editing he thought it was meant to be.. I thought it was a bit 'Dark' and preferred Debussy.. However, should you wish to see the video with the 'Twin Peaks' music you can view it here..

2021 marks a transition for Conellieson Gallery as it re-locates from the busy Mansion House in London's Wci area to the more tranquil setting of Enkhezen, in Holland. This I will be concentrating on the Northern renaissance from Jan van eyke, Vermeer up until the 19th centuries Cornelius Springer; who could well be this years featured artist.. The gallery is located on De_Zuiderhavendijk, at the end of the canal nearest Enkhezen's harbour.

Last year's featured artist was John Atkinson Grimshaw, the Leeds artist that became known for his nocturnes.. Not so well known to the vast majority Grimshaw shares similar traits to Cornelius Springer who painted around the same time.

Nells version of the Grimshaw paintings can still be seen by clicking the top image on this page, and we hope by the spring to bring you a similar experience from Holland..
